AirBio is dedicated to accelerating translational airway biology research by bridging the gap between basic science and clinical practice in pulmonary medicine. Our program focuses on transforming innovative laboratory findings into effective treatments and interventions for patients suffering from airway diseases, including asthma, cystic fibrosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pulmonary fibrosis. AirBio aims to develop a cohesive structure to integrate airway biology researchers throughout the division.

AirBio aims to develop a cohesive structure to integrate airway biology researchers throughout the division via:

1. Education & mentorship

  • Lab Meetings & Seminars

2. Collaborative research & funding

  • Focus groups to promote collaborations
  • Microgrants for AirBio investigators and trainees to support existing and new collaborations

3. Improve research infrastructure

  • Shared equipment, resources and reagents
