The Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Colorado is home to over 140 faculty members geographically spread across the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, National Jewish Health, Denver Health, and the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System. This longstanding partnership with our affiliates has positioned the division as a national leader in pulmonary and critical care, known for delivering exemplary patient care and pioneering research in basic sciences, clinical practice, and translational science. Our division is also changing its name to be the Pulmonary Allergy and Critical Care Division. We are excited to join forces with Allergy and Clinical Immunology, to provide care to patients with a wide array of allergic and immunologic diseases.

Our division has achieved numerous landmarks in pulmonary and critical care medicine, including significant advances in tuberculosis, interstitial lung disease, airway disease, cancer, pulmonary vascular diseases, and ICU patient care.

Our Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship programs offer some of the most comprehensive clinical training available. Trainees are exposed to a diverse patient population while working within a program dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care. They also benefit from access to some of the nation's leading pulmonary and critical care researchers. We are proud to offer subspecialty and advanced training in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary & Critical Care Research, Sleep Medicine, Transplant Pulmonology, Advanced Training in Interstitial Lung Disease, and a clinically-focused Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Critical Care Fellowship Program.

Our division continues to grow in education, health services research, and clinical outcomes. We are actively integrating healthcare informatics to enhance practice standards, improve quality of care, and advance health services research. Our ultimate goal is to develop a learning health system that leverages data analytics to deliver the best possible care, all while maintaining compassion, empathy, and respect for our patients.
