  • ≥75% of time devoted to research (up to 3 years of support)
  • Responsible Conduct of Research: course offered by Office of Research Compliance

    • Fulfilling the above requirements
    • Research progress, as described by trainee, mentor, and RAC
    • Updated IDP by March 1st
  • Annual Research Performance Progress Report (RPPR)
    • Research summary information for NIH annual progress report in March of each year

  • Research Advisory Committee (RAC) - mentorship committee
    • 3 to 4 faculty members including primary mentor
    • Focus on progress, plans, and career development
    • Meet every 6 months (April/November)
    • Minutes sent to Kelly/Cheryl within 2 weeks of every meeting
  • Annual update of IDPs
    • Educational and professional development plans
    • Documentation of education to others
    • Record of coursework, publications, grant proposals and support
    • Research progress and plans
    • Teaching evaluations

 

  • Research in Progress (Friday morning)
    • Attend >75% of the presentations
    • Present once a year
  • National/international meeting/workshops ($1400/year)
    • One per year
    • Workshops consistent with research - Jackson lab, Cold Spring Harbor, etc.
    • Meetings consistent with research - ATS, Aspen, Keystone, Gordon, and FASEB

    • NRSA bootcamp
  • Submit NRSA by end of first year of T32 support
    • Pre-F and Pre-K mock study sections: one day mock study section in the CCTSI Program
