Endowed Chairships and Professorships

 

Amanda Piquet, M.D. is the inaugural Céline Dion Foundation Endowed Chair in Autoimmune Neurology, established in May 2024 to provide support for a faculty chair in the Department of Neurology within the School of Medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

Victoria Pelak, M.D. is the Charles Elliott Morris Endowed Chair (2024-), established in July 2019 to provide support for a Chair in the Department of Neurology in the School of Medicine at Anschutz Medical Campus.

Maria Nagel, M.D. is the inaugural Cockerill-Wittmus Endowed Chair in Neurology (2024-), established in July 2023 to support an endowed chair in the Department of Neurology, for a faculty whose research includes, but is not limited to, homeopathic care of mental illness in women at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

Amy Amara, M.D., Ph.D. is the Leopold Korn and Michael Korn Endowed Chair in Parkinson's Disease (2024-), established in December 2006 to provide support for the recruitment and retention of a faculty member in Parkinson's disease research and treatment.

Kenneth Tyler, M.D. is the Louise Baum Endowed Chair, established in November 2017 to support research in degenerative, demyelinate, inflammatory, and infectious diseases of the nervous system.

Samantha Holden, M.D., M.S. is the inaugural Penny S. Burke Endowed Chair in Behavioral Neurology (2024-), established in December 2024 to provide support for a faculty chair in the Memory Disorders Clinic in the Dept of Neurology within the School of Medicine.

Laura Strom, M.D. is the inaugural Thor F. Berg Endowed Chair in Epilepsy (2024-), established in September 2024 to provide support for a faculty chair in the Department of Neurology within the School of Medicine at the Anschutz Medical Campus.

Jeffrey Bennett, M.D., Ph.D. (2017-) holds this Professorship, established in October 2009 to provide support for teaching and/or research with a focus on neurodegenerative disease research at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

Established in December of 1992 to support a Professorship in Alzheimer's and Neuro-Degenerative Disease research. (Vacant pending naming of Behavioral Neurology Section Chief.)

Huntington Potter, Ph.D. (2017-) holds this Professorship, established in October of 2009 to support research regarding the cause, prevention, and treatment of Alzheimer's disease at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

Established in May 2001 to provide support for a Professorship and research in the Department of Neurology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. (Vacant pending naming of Epilepsy Section Chief.)
