Every other year, Dr. Cabrera-Muffly, the program director, roasts a 65-lb pig in her yard and invites all faculty and residents for an end-of-summer gathering. Latin dancing skills are encouraged, but not required to attend.
Holiday Party
The Department hosts an annual holiday party. Previous locations
have included Dr. Jenkins’ home, the Art Museum (with a Star Wars
costume exhibit), and a downtown mansion with food, mingling, and
dancing.
Research Day and Graduation
Each June, we celebrate the graduation of the chief residents and
fellows. This event is held at the Ritz, and includes awards,
presentations of the graduates by a faculty mentor, and a roast of the
faculty by the residents. This is an entertaining way to wrap up the
academic year.
