Thyroid, Pituitary, Adrenal and Neuroendocrine Tumors

Bryan Haugen MD, Sarah Mayson MD, Nikita Pozdeyev MD, Virginia Sarapura MD, Michael McDermott MD and our Endocrine Surgeons, Robert McIntyre MD, Chris Raeburn MD and Maria Albuja Cruz MD, constitute a nationally recognized team specializing in the evaluation and management of thyroid cancer, thyroid nodules, goiters, hypothyroidism and hypothyroidism. We utilize on-site ultrasound guided thyroid fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsies, cytological and advanced molecular analysis, and high resolution Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine imaging to provide cutting edge evaluation of benign and malignant thyroid neoplasms. 

In collaboration with experienced colleagues in Nuclear Medicine, Radiology and Medical Oncology, this multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive state-of-the-art treatment options, including surgery, radioiodine therapy, radiation therapy and targeted chemotherapy, for thyroid tumors ranging from benign nodules to advanced thyroid cancer. 

Margaret Wierman MD, Katja Kiseljak-Vassiliades DO, Virginia Sarapura MD, and Micol Rothman MD, collaborate with our Pituitary Surgeons, Kevin Lillehei MD and Samy Youssef MD, and colleagues in Radiation Oncology to offer a multidisciplinary clinic providing nationally recognized expertise in the evaluation and management of pituitary tumors and disorders of pituitary function including Cushing’s Disease, Acromegaly, Prolactinomas, non-functioning pituitary tumors and pituitary gland insufficiency. 

Advanced treatment options for pituitary tumors include transphenoidal pituitary surgery, radiation therapy, stereotactic radiosurgery and targeted medical tumor suppressive therapy.
