Program Director: Elizabeth (Liz) Yeung, MD
The Program’s aims are to:
Provide comprehensive education that prepares fellows to become outstanding and productive leaders in the field of ACHD.
Deliver innovative, high-quality clinical care to a broad regional catchment area.
Offer effective consultation and educational support to non-congenital cardiologists and internists to enhance quality of care and training.
Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO) and University of Colorado Hospital (UCH), in conjunction with the University of Colorado School of Medicine, are pleased to offer a 24-month ACGME-accredited fellowship dedicated to the care of adults with congenital heart disease.
We seek well-qualified candidates who have completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in pediatric cardiology or adult cardiology and who will be board eligible by the start of their fourth year of training. As the population of adults living with congenital heart disease continues to grow, our ACHD program--established in 2003--has expanded to serve over 2,000 outpatient visits annually.
The program is fully integrated across CHCO and UCH, with training tailored to each fellow’s prior background and specific areas of interest. Graduates are eligible for ABIM board certification in Adult Congenital Heart Disease.
This is a two-year ACGME-accredited fellowship with two positions available per cycle.
Applications must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS)--July Cycle.
