Dan D. Nguyen, MD, MSc. is a cardiologist and cardiovascular outcomes researcher. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Washington, and completed his cardiovascular disease fellowship at the Mid America Heart Institute/University of Missouri-Kansas City where he also obtained a Master of Science in bioinformatics and finished additional training in cardiovascular outcomes research.
His clinical areas of focus include general cardiology, geriatric cardiology, and echocardiography. He is a member of the Colorado Cardiovascular Outcomes Research (CCOR) group. His research interests include addressing key knowledge gaps to improve the value, quality, and patient-centeredness of care for older adults with cardiovascular disease, developing strategies to improve shared decision-making around cardiovascular procedures, and using patient -reported outcomes to incorporate patients' voices into cardiovascular care.
