The University of Colorado Cardio-Obstetrics program provides pregnancy-related care of patients with cardiac conditions. Established in 2022, this is the only program of its kind in the state of Colorado, and also serves surrounding regions in Wyoming, New Mexico, and Nebraska. Multidisciplinary care is provided in partnership with Maternal Fetal Medicine, Obstetrics, Adult Congenital Heart Disease, and Obstetric Anesthesia. Services provided include perinatal management, preconception counseling, and postpartum care coordination.
In addition to patient care, we also provide education to increase awareness of heart disease in pregnancy and participate in research to advance our understanding of maternal cardiac conditions.
We are a site for the Peripartum Cardiomyopathy Network and participating in the international study Randomized Evaluation of Bromocriptine In Myocardial Recovery THerapy (REBIRTH).
