Research: | My research focus is on understanding dormant disseminated cancer cells, what keeps these cancer cells dormant and what awakens these cells to form metastasis. Using mouse models of mammary cancer that develop lung metastasis, I am interested in understanding how the fitness landscape of the lung changes in old age as well as in response to viral infections and how this change in the fitness landscape affects dormant disseminated cancer cells. |
