Dwain Hagerman Travel Award



Graduate students can request a Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics travel award ($500) by sending Shelly Fortner (Shelly.Fortner@cuanschutz.edu) the following information:

  • Details of the Meeting you would like to attend, title, dates, location (please include a meeting announcement)
  • A brief description of how this meeting relates to your research
  • A brief description of your involvement in the meeting (talk, poster, etc.) Please include abstract/poster title and authors

The graduate student travel committee will notify you the outcome of their decision.

After the meeting, send Shelly a follow-up paragraph detailing what you learned from the meeting and how it enhanced your research and education. Please make sure that when you submit your travel receipts and charges for this meeting that you inform the front office that you were awarded $500 towards the cost of this meeting so that can be reconciled with your travel expenses. Graduate students may be eligible for this award one instance per calendar year. This award is only open to eligible graduate students in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics.
