If you currently have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the sciences, we welcome those looking for a permanent career as a Research Service Professional or those wanting some cutting-edge research experience before applying to grad school. Our departmental Research Service Professionals come from many backgrounds and possess a wide variety of research skills and extensive laboratory experience. Their expertise is critical to the success of our researchers, and many go on to graduate or medical school after working in our laboratories.
These positions come with a wide variety of “perks” and opportunities to be part of very successful research teams and projects. Research Service Professionals can work in the laboratory as a career or use the opportunity to gain research experience to eventually apply to a higher degree program.
Substantial benefits include 22 days of vacation per year and 10 hours of sick time per month. Opportunity to be vested in a 401a retirement plan where the employee contributes 5% of their pay and the University matches this with 10%.
