CITI MODULES

 

Instructions for CITI Online Modules:

 

  • Complete 3 modules selected by the program from the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program) and submit certificates of completion to One Drive using this link:   23-24 IM Program Requirements. Upload your certificates to the 23-24 R1 CITI Module Certificates folder.

     

  • CITI training: CITI
    1. Register for CITI if you have not already done so
    2. Associate your account with “University of Colorado Denver”; if you will be doing research at the Denver VA, please also associate your account with “Denver, CO-554”
    3. Click on the “View Courses” button once you are associated with University of Colorado Denver
    4. Click on “Add a Course” at the bottom
    5. Select “Group 1: Biomedical Investigators”
    6. Select “Group 4: ICH/GCP – meets NIH requirements”
    7. Select “CITI Health Information Privacy and Security (HIPS) for Clinical Investigators”
    8. Select “Biomedical Responsible Conduct of Research Course”
    9. Select yes for “Would you like to take the Conflict of Interest mini-course?”
    10. Select “not at this time” for the next 2 questions (unless you plan on working with animal models)
    11. Select “not at this time” for the Biosafety/Biosecurity section unless you are planning on working with regulated materials.
    12. When done, you should have at least the following courses:
    13. Human Research - Group 1 Biomedical Investigators (ID 2625)
    14. CITI Health Information Privacy and Security (HIPS) for Clinical Investigators (ID 34843)
    15. Conflict of Interest mini-course - Conflict of Interest (ID 60056)
