Call for Poster Abstracts

EXTENDED DEADLINE: Monday, April 10th at 11:59 PM MT   

 

Do you work in health services research, dissemination & implementation science, population health, public health research, patient-centered outcomes research, or pragmatic clinical trials? 

Are you a methodologist, investigator, and/or a stakeholder representative in research? 

Please join us at COPRH Con to share your methods and approaches to generation and application of pragmatic research evidence at our poster sessions.

Poster abstract submissions should address one of three theme areas: Pragmatic Trial Examples, Pragmatic Research Methods & Measures, or Translating Evidence into Practice.

 

Conference Theme Areas of Interest for Abstracts

Theme Area 1: Pragmatic Trial Examples

  • Pragmatic trials (e.g., cluster randomized, stepped wedge, adaptive trials, etc)

  • Pilot and feasibility studies

  • Hybrid implementation-effectiveness trials

  • Trials that emphasize the generation and reporting of evidence

Theme Area 2: Pragmatic Research Methods & Measures

  • Studies involving development and use of pragmatic tools for evidence reporting (checklists, GRADE), assessment (systematic, scoping, and narrative reviews)  

  • Methods and measures for assessing impact in pragmatic research

Theme Area 3: Translating Evidence into Practice

  • Research highlighting the successes and challenges in translating and applying pragmatic evidence into practice

  • Bridging between assessment and application (e.g., cost evidence, implementation feasibility, involving community in translation)

  • Applications of using evidence for policy change


COPRH Con Abstract and Poster Guidelines

EXTENDED DEADLINE: Monday, April 10th at 11:59 PM MT   

Abstract submission criteria

  • Abstracts should be between 2500 and 3000 characters (with spaces), not including title, authors, or affiliations.
  • Abstract title should be no more than 15 words
  • Abstract body should be structured with headings for background, setting/population, methods, results (for completed research), and conclusions

  • Abstracts can be completed research or work-in-progress, and may include research presented at other venues.

  • Abstracts should align with one or more of the conference theme areas Pragmatic Trial Examples, Pragmatic Research Methods & Measures, Translating Evidence into Practice.

  • Abstracts are encouraged to include patients and other community stakeholders as co-authors

  • Complete the form including name, email address, academic title/rank, and institutional affiliation(s) of the presenting author; a complete list of authors and affiliations; abstract title; abstract body with structured headings; indication of abstract theme area

  • Poster presenters are required to attend the conference in person

Poster guidelines

  • Posters will be submitted in a PDF format (templates will be provided).

  • Posters will be featured during Poster Walk during lunch on June 5

  • Select abstracts may be invited to present live as a “Best of COPRH Con” session

Presenter information:

  • There is no fee for abstract submission.

  • Abstracts accepted for poster presentation will be announced via email no later than May 1, 2023.

  • Poster presenter(s) are required to attend and set up poster at the conference (no virtual poster options). Display area will be 4-ft by 4-ft; poster boards will be provided.

  • Presenting authors of accepted abstracts must be registered for COPRH Con and will be eligible to receive a reduced registration fee of $200 (same as the early bird registration).

  • More information will be provided for selected abstracts
