Mobile Health (mHealth) & Informatics Core

Mobile health (mHealth) refers to the use of mobile and wireless devices to improve health outcomes, healthcare services, and health research.  This rapidly growing, fast-paced field can involve the use of mobile applications, mobile communications, mobile sensors, mobile devices, and/or mobile data.

Informatics provides support and service to investigators regarding essential concepts in health informatics that are critical to their research and to the acquisition of funding. ​

mHealth Objectives

The mHealth core supports investigators who are interested in conducting high-quality mHealth research and evaluation. The core provides knowledge and expertise to guide mHealth work at all stages of grant and technology development. We offer education, partnership, referral, and consultation services for mHealth grants and projects. 

Health Informatics Objectives

The Informatics core provides knowledge and expertise in the areas of data integration and combining disparate data sources, data harmonization, data modeling, database management, use of electronic health record data, clinical decision support, mobile health, data governance, and privacy and security.
