health care worker holding arm of patientThe Colorado Program for Patient-Centered Decisions is located at the Adult and Child Center for Health Outcomes Research and Delivery Science (ACCORDS). This collaboration takes a broad view of shared decision-making and brings together multidisciplinary expertise in development of materials, measurement of outcomes, and implementation into practice settings. This group currently consists of 4 core principle investigators and 7 research assistants and has been successful in obtaining funding from foundations, the NIH, and the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute.​

Decision Aids​

decision aidDecision aids provide information about treatment options for patients to think about and to discuss with their health care providers. Our goal is to increase patients’ knowledge of their medical condition, the risks and benefits of available treatments and to empower patients to become more involved in the decision-making process.​
