Pediatric Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship


This fellowship prepares physicians to become leaders in pediatric emergency ultrasound. Over the course of one year, fellows build on a strong foundation of clinical excellence in bedside ultrasound, supported by impactful research and educational publications. The program is guided by dedicated faculty who view ultrasound as an essential part of modern emergency care. 

With a focus on pediatric-specific applications, fellows refine advanced scanning techniques while integrating ultrasound into everyday clinical decision-making. 

  • Clinical and scanning shifts at Denver Health Medical Center (DHMC), a high-acuity, Level 1 general trauma center, Level 2 pediatric trauma center, equipped with state-of-the-art ultrasound technology  
  • Additional training opportunities at UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital and Children’s Hospital Colorado, including a regional Level 1 pediatric trauma center 
  • A comprehensive curriculum with exposure to a wide range of specialties, including Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, NICU, PICU, Family Medicine, Surgery, and OB/Gynecology
