Emergency Medicine Interest Group (EMIG)
Dedicated to improving the knowledge and skill sets of the next generation of emergency physicians
Founded in 2004, the Emergency Medicine Interest Group is a student-directed group of those interested in learning about Emergency Medicine, including students from the University of Colorado School of Medicine (PA program and MD Program), the CU College
of Nursing, Red Rocks Community College PA Program, and Rocky Vista University School of Medicine (MD program).
EMIG is run by an annually-elected steering committee who arrange lectures, programs, and skills labs to facilitate education
in this medical specialty.
Lectures are open to anyone with an interest in the topic. Skills labs have participation caps; therefore,
EMIG members receive priority registration. EMIG members are also eligible to participate in
the pre-hospital medicine elective.
Registration for EMIG occurs during the School of Medicine orientation week or during any EMIG-sponsored event. To register at another time or for more information, please contact us at EMIG@ucdenver.edu.
