The Firearm Injury Prevention Initiative strives to prevent firearm-related injuries and deaths in homes and communities across Colorado and the U.S. through collaboration, research, and education. We are committed to an approach rooted in:
- Recognition of a common goal of health and security,
- Respect for and consideration of a wide range of views and experiences, and
- Engagement of impacted communities and those with lived experiences

Centered around the theme “From All Angles,” this year’s report reflects our ongoing belief that meaningful, lasting progress in firearm injury prevention requires action across disciplines, sectors, perspectives, and communities.
FIPI Firearm Business Office Hours
Join FIPI for virtual office hours hosted by firearm industry partners and experienced secure storage program facilitators. These sessions are open to any firearm business (shooting ranges, retailers, instructors, etc.) interested in secure storage and/or suicide prevention education or services (on-site storage, distributing devices).
These sessions occur monthly:
- First Thursdays at 11 A.M. MST
- Third Wednesdays at 11 A.M. MST
