EMS and Disaster Fellowship

This Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) approved fellowship provides immersive training in medical direction, pediatric EMS oversight, field and flight medicine, and large-scale event and disaster planning. This one-year EMS fellowship is affiliated with the Denver Health Medical Center (DHMC) and the Denver Health Paramedic Division (DHPD), part of one of the nation’s busiest EMS systems.
  • 200 Paramedics
  • 100,000 calls annually
  • 80,000 patients treated annually
Through a unique paramedic field training experience, fellows gain a deep, practical understanding of prehospital care. Opportunities such as command shift ride-alongs and specialized training (bike medic, tactical medicine, etc.) provide insight into both frontline care and system-level operations. The fellowship ensures comprehensive coverage of EMS core competencies, equipping graduates with the knowledge and experience needed to become leaders in EMS and confidently pursue board certification.
