Electromyography (EMG)

Electromyography (EMG)

Electromyography is the study of the electrical activity in muscle tissues. It can be done using surface electrodes or intramuscularly using fine or needle electrodes. The electrical activity recorded from the muscles can be used to control prosthetic devices. Our research aims to better understand and improve these electrodes and other recording devices to ultimately improve the functionality of myoelectric prostheses.
