The main goal of the Translational Biomaterials Laboratory is to establish a platform of polymeric biomaterials with a high potential for applications in a broad range of diseases.
Researchers in the lab collaborate closely with professionals in the Departments of Cardiology, Biostatistics and Informatics, Neurology and Ophthalmology, Chemistry, and Pharmacology.
The Translational Biomaterials Laboratory is customized for the synthesis of polymeric biomaterials and their biological testing. With these biomaterials Dr. Park and colleagues are focused on the following four research areas: drug delivery, functional recovery of the nervous system, cardiovascular tissue engineering, and antimicrobial materials.
