The mission of the Center for Inclusive Design and Engineering is to accelerate applied transdisciplinary technology research and innovation for persons with disabilities and those aging into disability.
The Center's labs are on the Downtown and Anschutz Campuses, and function as a research center as well as training ground for bioengineering students. They collaborate with local, state, national, and international stakeholders from industry, government, research, and users and their families.
We have 5 research areas: Inclusive Design, Social Assistive Robotics (SARs), Smart Environments and Wearable Technologies, Human Machine Interfaces, and Biomechanics and Mobility.
Through our research collaborations and clinical work, we are designing a more accessible and equitable future for people of all abilities.
