Education

Bioengineers improve human health by applying the science and technology of engineering to clinical problems in medicine. If you are interested in working at the interface of life sciences, engineering and clinical medicine while advancing scientific discovery, this program is for you.

We offer the BS-Bioengineering in our undergraduate program with the option for a BS/MS Bioengineering degree, as well as a Master’s and PhD in bioengineering with many options to customize your graduate experience with a dual degree and certificate options.  The Center for Bioengineering houses two NIH T32 pre- and post-doctoral training grants in Bioengineering, one on Cardiovascular Biomechanics and Imaging (PI Robin Shandas) and one in Interdisciplinary Bioengineering Training in Diabetes (PI Richard Benninger), and participates in several other cross-disciplinary training programs on the Anschutz Medical Campus.
