Education

Biomedical Engineering at CU-Denver|Anschutz sits at the intersection of medicine, engineering, and discovery - training students to translate clinical challenges into technologies that improve human health. Our academic programs are designed for students who want to work alongside clinicians, engage in meaningful research, and contribute to innovations in diagnostics, devices, and therapeutics.

We offer a comprehensive set of educational pathways, including a BS in Biomedical Engineering (with an optional BS/MS track), as well as MS and PhD degrees with flexible, customizable training experiences. Students can further tailor their education through dual-degree options (e.g., MD/MS, MBA/MS), as well as targeted certificate and microcredential programs, including offerings in areas like Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs (QA/RA).

Across all levels, our programs emphasize hands-on, clinically grounded training and close collaboration with faculty and physicians, preparing graduates to lead at the interface of engineering and medicine.
