Point Designs LLC recently received a Phase 2 Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) award by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health & Human Development of the National Institutes of Health entitled The Point Digit: A ratcheting prosthetic finger technology using advanced rapid manufacturing technology. 

The award totals $1.5 million over two years and provides the resources to conduct a nationwide clinical trial using the Point Digit technology. Key partners include the Biomechatronics Development Laboratory, directed by bioengineering professor Richard Weir at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus and the clinical experts at Arm Dynamics Inc.
