User-centered Design Usability Testing Experience:

Stakeholder Engagement Navigator, a tool for health researchers to explore and discover engagement strategies

Hosted by Drs. Matt DeCamp and Brad Morse, Kate Ytell, and Julie Ressalam

Join this exciting opportunity to learn about stakeholder engagement while simultaneously providing user feedback on a new research support tool! Involving stakeholders throughout all phases of the research process is crucial for real-world impact. When planning pragmatic research, stakeholders provide meaningful insight on community priorities and assist with study design by identifying relevant topics and research questions, as well as outcomes and measures. Researchers increasingly acknowledge the importance of stakeholder engagement, but it is challenging to know where to begin and what engagement strategies are most suited for a particular project. The Stakeholder Engagement Navigator is a new tool that serves as an educational hub and an interactive space to explore and discover engagement strategies. During this 45-minute session, participants will be assigned a specific scenario and work in groups to find the most appropriate methods for their scenario using the Stakeholder Engagement Navigator. This experience provides participants with a taste of what this new tool can offer when planning for stakeholder engagement while helping to make refinements that increase the usability, utility, and value of the tool.
