Mission Statement

The proteomics core facility provides research groups with state-of-the-art analytical readouts to advance our understanding of the extracellular matrix (ECM) in fundamental biological processes relevant to biomedical and bioengineering research. In collaboration with the Hansen Lab, our team has developed and refined ECM-optimized proteomic methods that enable comprehensive, quantitative analysis of both soluble and insoluble matrix components, including heavily crosslinked proteins that are poorly recovered by conventional proteomic workflows. By pairing these specialized methods with expert-run data analysis workflows and state-of-the-art instrumentation, the proteomics core facility is positioned to accelerate discoveries that lead to new biological insights and therapies.
