Proposed Extracellular Matrix Characterization Center

Mission Statement

The proposed national resource will provide research groups with state-of-the-art analytical readouts to accelerate our understanding of the extracellular matrix (ECM) in fundamental biological processes pertaining to biomedical and bioengineering research. The resource will use standardized methods with internal standards to ensure consistency of analysis to enable accurate readouts and comparison of results across labs. This level of consistency and access to start-of-the-art methods and facilities will accelerate discoveries in the biomedical and bioengineering fields that will ultimately lead to new discoveries, knowledge, and therapies.
