Dr. Tate is an Assistant Professor in General Internal Medicine and an investigator in the Colorado Program for Patient Center Decisions. She joined ACCORDS in 2015. Dr. Tate is also a recipient of the University of Colorado Cancer Centers Rising Stars in Research Endowed Chair. She is a Colorado native who grew up in Boulder. She attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH where she earned a B.S. degree. Dr. Tate began her research career working in the private sector at a biotech company before earning an MPH degree at the Colorado School of Public Health in 2008. She received her PhD in Health and Behavioral Sciences from the University of Colorado Denver. Dr. Tate has worked on a variety of research projects for both the University of Colorado and at Denver Health. Her research interests include working with disparate populations and health disparities, aging populations, hospice, and end-of-life care transitions, and shared decision-making.
