Our on-site laboratory is responsible for the storage and analysis of thousands of blood samples, serving the HTC clinic as well as national studies that are on the cutting edge of detecting, defining and evaluating bleeding and clotting disorders. Dr. Marilyn Manco-Johnson manages the center's research lab, where an experienced staff of full time and student researchers work tirelessly to expand the field of coagulation testing.
The HTC Translational Research team work on a variety of specialized projects that look for ways to directly make improvements in care. Currently these include developing and confirming global assays, work with platelets, and research on vWD and Endothelial cell research.
Our Translational Research team has experts in hematology, full time laboratory researchers, and students working side-by-side to find better tests and ways to use the results.
