Investigator-Initiated studies are typically grant-funded projects that are investigator-driven. These studies are usually more observational in nature (meaning they ask questions or study the experience of patients) rather than interventional (meaning applying a change in care and seeing what happens).
Our HTC Investigator-Initiated studies change and adapt as we learn new things from earlier work. We have many projects ongoing in our two main areas of focus: bleeding disorders and clotting disorders.
Much of this type of research has provided interesting insights and some directly affect the lives of our patients as well as those around the world. Below we will post posters and papers that are direct results from research our HTC has been involved in that were investigator-initiated studies.
