Projects
Title: Functional profiling of interstitial lung disease.
The goals of this protocol are to collect and bank samples from people with advanced lung disease. With the banked samples, we also plan to identify biomarkers of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), the most common of the idiopathic interstitial pneumonias (IIPs).
My role in the project is focused on Pathomorphology features by genotype (GG vs. GT/TT) among IIP cases. A comprehensive WTS analysis of usual interstitial pneumonia, chronic hypersensitive pneumonia (CHP), and collagen vascular disease related interstitial fibrosis (CVD-ILD) is an ongoing research project. The amount of the effort is supported with 1.8 months/year coverage.
