MRI Animal Imaging

MRI

Our equipment can only accommodate small rodents and our imaging services are for research purposes only. Unfortunately, we cannot perform imaging on companion animals, such as cats and dogs.

The Animal Imaging and Irradiation Shared Resource's Small Animal Imaging Service offers MRI services to CU Cancer Center member and non-members.

Facility:

The 9.4T MR scanner was purchased with support from a high-end shared instrumentation grant which replaced the old 4.7T Tesla in the summer of 2018.

Protocols:

  • Volumetric MRI
  • Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI)
  • Diffusion-Weighted MRI (DWI)
  • SPIO T2 MRI Maps
  • Functional MRI (FMRI)
  • Cardiac MRI (cMRI)
  • Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI)
