COE Throughout Colorado

Bringing Cancer Education and Resources Statewide

Colorado is a large and diverse state — from the Eastern Plains to the Western Slope, from the San Luis Valley to the northern mountains. Yet no matter where you live, access to cancer prevention and early detection information is essential.

The Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) team is committed to traveling to all 64 counties in Colorado to provide education, resources, and services to help reduce cancer risk and improve health outcomes.

We partner with community organizations, health departments, and event organizers to ensure that residents across the state have access to free, high-quality cancer prevention tools and information.

What is the Project?

Our COE Throughout Colorado project is an outreach initiative designed to meet communities where they are. Whether it’s a health fair, school event, community festival, or workplace gathering, our team is ready to provide bilingual education and free resources for cancer prevention and screening. 

What We Offer at Events

As part of our mission, we bring:

• No-cost FIT kits for colorectal cancer screening
• Smoking cessation information and programs to help people quit tobacco and vaping
• Free radon test kits for lung cancer prevention
• Bilingual education on cancer prevention and early detection, including skin cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, and more

We recognize that every community and event is unique, with its own priorities, challenges, and health concerns. Our team works closely with local partners to customize our approach so that the resources, education, and services we provide meet the specific needs of each community we visit.

• Community-based organizations
• Schools and colleges
• Tribal and rural communities
• Event planners and organizers across Colorado
• Any Colorado community interested in improving cancer prevention awareness can invite us to participate.
  

How Does it Work?

We Coordinate: Our team will work with you to confirm details and tailor our presence to your audience.

We Deliver: On event day, we bring our staff, bilingual materials, and the resources listed above — all at no cost to you or your attendees.

How Much Does it Cost?

All services and resources provided through the COE Throughout Colorado project are completely free for Colorado communities.
