Opportunity to teach at Clinic Didactics
- Prepare a topic of your choice to present in a large group setting. May choose from a TeachIM topic
- Work with faculty content experts and/or Ambulatory Chief Resident to optimize didactic
- After presentation, receive anonymous resident written evaluations as well as 1:1 discussion with Chief Resident or faculty to review feedback

Residents as Preceptor Curriculum
We value the importance of residents learning to skills to precept in the outpatient setting.
- Dedicated didactic session on how to precept in the outpatient setting
- Practice precepting a clinic patient case with interns at home clinic throughout PGY3 year. A faculty attending will supervise and provide feedback
Behavioral Health Communications Video Review
- Videorecord a patient visit (with patient's signed permission) and review your communication style with a psychologist.
Balint Case Review
- Discuss a challenging patient clinic case with a pyschologist to explore the patient-physician dynamic
Ambulatory Chief Resident Position
- Our residency has a dedicated ambulatory chief resident role based at the Denver Health clinics. The role includes organizing and leading DH ambulatory didactics, precepting in resident clinic, and seeing patients in their own continuity clinic. Being a resident liason and champion to support our residents as well as integrate innovative ideas to improve our residency are also highly valued.
