All RITTC Sequencing Core projects begin with an initial inquiry and consultation. This helps us determine whether the requested service is appropriate for your samples, experimental design, timeline, and analysis goals.
Complete the initial inquiry form to provide basic project information.
After submission, the core will contact you to schedule a consultation.
During the consultation, we will discuss:
Project goals
Experimental design
Sample requirements
Replicate structure
Sequencing depth
Timeline
Expected deliverables
Bioinformatics needs
Potential technical risks
This consultation is required before sample submission.
After the consultation, you will receive:
A project ID
Sample submission form
Sample preparation instructions
Initial quote
The sample submission form collects detailed information required for project tracking, wet-lab processing, and bioinformatics analysis.
Projects begin after the core receives:
Completed sample submission form
Signed quote
Properly labeled samples
Samples should not be submitted before consultation unless explicitly approved by the core.
After samples are received, core staff will document sample receipt and perform intake QC. If sample quality, quantity, labeling, or metadata issues are identified, the core will contact the submitting investigator before proceeding.
Libraries will be prepared according to the agreed service plan. Library QC results will be reviewed before sequencing. In some cases, user approval may be requested before sequencing proceeds.
After sequencing and analysis are complete, the core will provide access to project deliverables and offer a 30-minute results review consultation.
Additional analysis beyond the standard deliverables may be requested and billed separately.
