Creating an Account/Online Sample Submission

To create an account on our iLabs site, download these instructions.

Using the BDC iLabs website to Submit

 

New Service Requests (One Service Only)
1. Select the proper service under "Service List" --> "DNA Sequencing" or "Molecular Core" --> Applicable Service --> "Initiate Request"
2. Enter the number of samples to be submitted (each primer/sample is a separate entry) under "Quantity:"
3. Fill out the form with as much information as possible.
4. Under "Payment Information," select the applicable speedtype(s) and split the cost as applicable.
5. Click "Submit Request to Researcher."
6. Navigate to "View my Requests."
7. Open up your request and click the printer icon to print it out. Add it to a Ziploc bag with your samples and place it in one of the designated dropoff locations.
8. For DNA sequencing, a minimum of 20ul per reaction of DNA template at the proper concentration (40ng/ul for most common plasmid templates) and 10ul of primer at 10uM is required. Premix samples should be 40ng/ul template and 1uM primer final concentration.​

 

New Project Requests (Multiple Services for the Same Sample(s))

1. Select the proper service under "Service Projects and Quote Requests" --> Applicable Service --> Initiate Request
2. Enter the number of samples to be submitted (each primer/sample is a separate entry) under "Quantity:"
3. Fill out the form with as much information as possible.
4. Click "Add Service"
5. Select the services and number of samples for each that you wish to submit
6. Under "Payment Information", select the applicable speedtype(s) and split the cost as applicable.
7. Click "Submit Request to Researcher"
8. Navigate to "View my Requests"
9. Open up your request and click the printer icon to print it out. Add it to a Ziploc bag with your samples and place it in one of the designated dropoff locations.
