Pediatric Residency Program - Where We Live

Denver is located on the high plains of Colorado against a backdrop of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Denver's unique setting blends the sophisticated urban beat of the city with easy access to the solitude and silence of mountain wilderness. In addition to Colorado’s world-renowned skiing, the foothills and mountains just west of the city offer every imaginable summer and winter outdoor activity.  We also enjoy some of the finest weather in the country with 300 days of sun each year.

Close to three million people of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds live in the Denver metro area. About one-third of the population is Hispanic and 10 percent African-American. Denver’s cultural, culinary, and athletic offerings are world-class and comparable to much larger cities.
