Collaborative Complement Congress of the Americas: Mission Statement

The C3A was initiated to provide a forum for the education and exchange of complement science in the Americas and to augment the strong International and European complement meetings.  This a grassroots effort of American complement scientists, and not associated with nor sponsored by any society or governmental agency.  It is a grassroots effort to ensure greater opportunities for American complementologists who are unable to attend meetings that require distant travel. Scientific and career development will be kept in mind in the structure, event and selection of speakers for the meeting, including efforts to increase mentorship opportunities for junior complementologist. The congress is designed to bring basic and translational scientists together with the clinicians treating at the bedside, all with the aim to advance clinically actionable complement immunobiology.
