CU PT Summer Faculty Announcements
Congratulations to Drs. Hernandez, Smith, Ingham, McDevitt, Magnusson, and James!Zachary Noriega | Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation/CU School of Medicine Jul 7, 2023
First, we extend our congratulations to Dr. Andrew Smith, who has successfully navigated academic promotion at CU and attained the rank of Associate Professor! Dr. Smith is a prolific researcher and respected colleague, and is very deserving of this new title.
Next, we want to acknowledge Dr. Meghan Hernandez, who admitted to the 2023 cohort for the APTA Grant Writing & Mentoring in Education Research workshop! Dr. Hernandez joins a growing list of CU PT faculty who have participated in this prestigious workshop.
Our CU PT faculty know that learning is a life-long endeavor, and are always striving to expand their areas of expertise. We congratulate Dr. Holly Ingham, who is now a now a Board-Certified Pediatric Specialist, and Dr. Amy McDevitt who has successfully completed her PhD!
Dr. Dawn Magnusson will be working to advance equity- and family-centered early childhood systems with the Colorado team that received the Early Childhood Developmental Health Systems (ECDHS): Evidence to Impact Center award! Her motto is, "don't talk about it, be about it," and she lives this mantra every day.
Finally, we congratulate Dr. David James and the entire PT Orthopaedic Residency team at UCHealth for the first residency cohort which passed their OCS Board Specialty Examination!
We are grateful to our extraordinary colleagues for their hard work and dedication to the success of our program and look forward to seeing what they will continue to accomplish in their roles.
