A Scholarly Project is a topic mutually agreed upon by the trainee and their mentor that will contribute to the trainee's long-term goals while also addressing a need in the field of developmental disabilities. Scholarly projects increase trainees' ability to conceptualize and implement (or assist in implementation) a scholarly project/research project or program evaluation. They gain skills in formally sharing concepts or findings from their scholarly project by presenting and creating a product.
