The Colorado Office of Employment First (COEF) is a program of JFK Partners, University of Colorado Anschutz. COEF was created following legislation to create the EFAP (Employment First Advisory Partnership), a multi-agency collaborative charged with improving the status of competitive integrated employment (CIE) for persons with disabilities in Colorado.
In 2019, COEF was awarded three years of funding (2019-2022) from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE), Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). COEF was charged with improving competitive integrated employment (CIE) for persons with disabilities by building capacity for supports and addressing policy barriers.
COEF faculty continue to support competitive integrated employment (CIE) through training, benefits counseling, systems navigation, and resource development. Visit the COEF website to view their resources.
In 2025, COEF faculty are working with the Colorado Developmental Disabilities Council on the Community Survey Research Project to assist in developing their next 5-year plan. If you are interested in learning the results of the Community Survey Research Project, please sign up for COEF communications.
