Program Objective

The pediatric Neuro-Oncology Program, which provides comprehensive evaluation and care to children with complex brain tumors, seeks to understand the relationship of biologic data to outcome and quality of life.

Program Description

The student will assist in designing and conducting cellular and molecular biological techniques for basic and translational research studies in childhood brain tumors. This may include conducting literature searches, performing laboratory experiments, and preparing research manuscripts.

The student will have a defined project, usually linking molecular data to clinical outcome which should enable the student to be first author on a peer-reviewed paper.
