Molecular Oncology
University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Department of Radiation Oncology
The overall all goal of the project is to apply a novel method to study heterogeneity in cellular DNA repair capacity to understand how cancer-specific therapies impact DNA repair.
The student will work closely with members of the laboratory to develop their own project to apply a new single-cell method for measuring heterogeneity in DNA repair capacity to understand how DNA repair activities change during carcinogenesis. As the method relies on high-throughput DNA sequencing as a readout, the student will have the opportunity to perform both "wet" and "dry" experiments, and will learn basic computational biology skills.
