From California and Guatemala, Melissa received an MPH in Community and Behavioral Health with an emphasis on Global Health from the CO School of Public Health. During her MPH studies Melissa focused on food insecurity, food access, and malnutrition in Latinx and Hispanic communities, and worked closely with the CU Center for Global Health’s Trifinio site in Guatemala addressing these public health concerns. She joined the ACCORDS team in February 2023 as a research services professional, hoping she can contribute to the explication of disparities and improvement of health outcomes within the Latinx/Hispanic community.
