Denver Health Medical Center Faculty

Denver Health Medical Center is the public hospital for the City and County of Denver. With its network of primary care clinic sites, it serves over 160,000 patients per year or approximately 25 percent of the population of Denver.

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Denver Health provides a full range of services including standard endoscopies, liver biopsies, ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, and capsule endoscopy.

The academic interests of the Division include disparities in health care delivery, identifying and remedying barriers to care specific to the patient population served by Denver Health, identification and characterization of patient populations at increased risk for developing adenomatous polyps, NASH (non alcoholic steatohepatitis), and treatment of hepatitis C. The division plays a leading role in quality improvement efforts a the medical center.
