Toni graduated as a biology major from St. Olaf College in 2023 and will be attending Rush Medical College in the fall of 2024 where she will continue pursuing her career in child and adolescent psychiatry and health disparities advocacy. Toni transferred her health disparities research at the University of Minnesota to join ACCORDS at the start of 2024 where she will continue working under the guidance of Dr. Jerica Berge. Her primary role will be evaluating Community Health Worker-led family intervention sessions that aim to improve the quantity and quality of family meals to mitigate child obesity disparities. By attempting to establish intersectional process evaluation methodology, the focal question of her research will be: for who is the Family Matters intervention working for and why?
