Denae J. Gerasta is a PhD student in Health Services Research at the Colorado School of Public Health and a Research Services Professional with ACCORDS at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She manages multiple NIH-funded, multisite studies, overseeing research operations, regulatory processes, and mixed-methods data collection and analysis. Her work focuses on patient-centered decision-making, end-of-life care, and health equity among structurally marginalized populations. Denae has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and presented extensively at national academic and professional conferences. Prior to her current role, she worked in medical technology research, migrant health services, and clinical documentation. She holds a BA with Honors from Baylor University, where her thesis examined socioeconomic disparities in hypertension and mortality.
