Dr. De Keyser is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and practices in the Breathing Institute at Children’s Hospital Colorado. She completed her undergraduate education with honors from Washington University in St. Louis, and she completed her medical school, residency and fellowship training at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus. Dr. De Keyser was trained in health services research through the SCORE (Sub-specialists Clinical Outcomes Research) fellowship at ACCORDS. Additionally, she obtained a Masters in Clinical Science through the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus. Dr. De Keysers’s primary research focus is medication usage patterns in asthma, focused on high-risk groups. She has completed grants from the Children’s Hospital Colorado Research Institute as well as the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to evaluate medication use patterns and medication adherence in children and adolescents with asthma, and she obtained K23 funding from the National Heart, Lung, Blood Institute (NHLBI) to study long term medication use patterns in adolescents with asthma using sensor technology.
