Role: Project Co-Director. Personnel Preparation of Special Education, Early Intervention, and Related Services Personnel at Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities, and Other Minority Serving Institutions (PPREP) (84.325M) program. This grant supports personnel preparation of 23 DPT students over 5 years who will receive special courses and mentored clinical education in early intervention for children and families in Hawai’i. $1,107,723.00

The purpose of this policy analysis is to examine the effects of restricting Part C eligibility policy on therapy utilization, therapy-sensitive utilization, and spending among infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities participating in state Children’s Medicaid programs.

This grant addressed impairments in motor control and should improve functional outcomes and help children with DS perform functional motor tasks with greater efficiency and success.

This grant supported the use of live videoconference technology to deliver and receive continuing education programs by linking multiple LEND training sites together in real-time through advanced technology connections.

This grant supported the use of live videoconference technology to deliver public health based continuing education programs generated at The Children’s Hospital to multiple sites around Colorado.
Robinson C (PI). Developmental Assessment Team. Denver Options. Role: Physical Therapist, 20% FTE, 2002-2004. This grant funded the work of a multidisciplinary evaluation team to conduct evaluations of young children with knows or suspected developmental delays as part of the IDEA Part C Child Find process.
Other Research Activity
UC Denver AMC Integrated Longitudinal, Interprofessional Curriculum for the Health Professions 2010-2014. Funded by Colorado Health Foundation and by Josiah Macy Foundation for 36 months, $1.9 million project to create a longitudinal, interprofessional curriculum integrated into the preclinical and clinical training for all health professions students at the Anschutz Medical Campus. The curriculum developed student competencies in teamwork, collaborative interprofessional practice, and quality and safety.
