Pediatric Emergency Medicine | University of Cholorado School of Medicine
All Section of Emergency Medicine sites are outfitted with new, touch screen Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) machines for clinical care.
In 2020, we introduced an EPIC-to-PACS workflow for standardized POCUS documentation and permanent image storage across our network.
We continue to enhance our Section's utilization of this imaging modality to optimize our patients' care.
The Section of Emergency Medicine has an active, growing group of academic and clinical Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) faculty. Our faculty are involved in education at all levels of training, including medical students, pediatric and emergency medicine residents, pediatric emergency fellows, and pediatric emergency faculty. POCUS faculty are also engaged in several research projects.
